Should you ever have reason to believe someone is using your identity, call customer service toll-free. If you find that you are a victim of identity theft, you'll have two options. These services are provided as part of your membership at no extra cost to you:

Option 1: Counseling Only

   If you're a victim of identity theft, you will have access to an identity restoration specialist with professional experience in helping victims recover from identity theft. Your assigned specialist will work on your case personally and help every step of the way. The counseling service includes:

  • Assisting you in organizing details of your case and identify the nature of the fraud
  • Educating you on the process and your responsibilities
  • Providing you with a list of qualified attorneys who may be able to help you
  • Sending you a Fraud Packet including complete details on what you need to do
  • Answering any questions and providing you other assistance as warranted

Option 2: Complete Restoration Service

   Along with free counseling, you also have the option to authorize an identity restoration specialist to actually manage the recovery process for you, including contacting creditors, submitting fraud alerts, and filling out the necessary paperwork for you. Your assigned restoration specialist will work on your specific case until the problem is resolved, and keep you updated on the status of your case. This option requires that you sign a specific limited power of attorney. The process will be fully explained to you when you call, and at that time you can select the option you would like to use.

   Restoration Services are only available for issues arising in the United States and include the following exclusions:

   Legal Remedy - Any Stolen Identity Event where the victim is unwilling to prosecute the person who caused the victim to suffer the fraud or its consequences.

   Dishonest Acts - Any dishonest, criminal, malicious, or fraudulent acts, if the Member(s) that suffered the fraud personally participated in, directed or had knowledge of such acts.

   Pre-existing Stolen Identity Event Limitations - Restoration Services will not be provided to members for a pre-existing stolen identity event if either member had knowledge of, or reasonably should have had knowledge of, the pre-existing stolen identity event based on information provided to them prior to enrollment in the Program.

   Minors are fundamentally excluded given that (a) credit reporting agencies do not knowingly maintain credit files on minor children, and (b) minor children are unable to execute the Limited Power of Attorney (LPoA) required for certain processes as described herein. However, the program will try to resolve identity theft issues for participant-minors through the processes listed in this agreement, with additional reasonable efforts to address the challenges of working with minors, and within the solutions available through existing legislation and established industry and organizational procedures.

   A covered stolen identity event does not include the theft or unauthorized or illegal use of their business name, d/b/a or any other method of identifying their business activity.

   Financial Loss - Membership Services do not cover any financial losses attributed to the Stolen Identity Event, including but not limited to, money stolen from a wallet, unauthorized purchases of retail goods or services online, by phone, mail or direct.

   Membership Status - Restoration Services, for both new and in-process cases, will only be provided to members who are in an active paid status.

   Business - A covered stolen identity event does not include the theft or unauthorized or illegal use of their business name, d/b/a or any other method of identifying their business activity
